How Swagbucks Made My Life Better

Divoirced mom earns extra mom in free time
  1. Easy way to earn gift cards

  2. Productive use of wasted time

  3. Gives me special moments with my kids

Not gonna lie, I held out a long time on doing swagbucks. It didn’t seem legit. It didn’t seem worth my time. I was worried it was just another scam to waste my time and get my info. When I finally read enough people talking about doing swagbucks and using it help them save money, I decided to take the plunge and give it a go. These are some of the reasons this app adds quality to my life.

  • Easy way to earn gift cards AKA easy way for me to splurge while staying in budget

It doesn’t get much easier than just pulling out my phone and answering a few questions. Although, if I’m being completely honest, it feels like I’m not applicable for most surveys…but they don’t tell you this until you’ve answered a few questions. Which can be a tad irritating. But in the long wrong, I can’t complain too much, because I keep getting gift cards for doing very little! And then I get to use the gift cards for things that definitely don’t fit into my budget, or fit into my long term financial goals. And this means it’s easier for me to stay on track because I don’t feel so constricted.

  • Productive use of my otherwise wasted time

If you’re anything like me, you have a lot of little moments in your life when you have to be somewhere but there’s nothing productive you can do. For me, it’s waiting at the school for my kids to get to the car, waiting during the after school activities (which are too short for me to leave and go home or leave and run errands), and during my lunch break at work, I can’t leave work in that thirty minutes and I can’t be working during that thirty minutes. So I’ve started picking up my phone and doing little surveys. And every couple days I earn enough points to redeem a gift card. I then can use these gift cards to feel like I’m splurging for me and my kids without actually spending a dime! And I’m not wasting valuable time that could be spent on activities I love, spending time with my kids, or even activities I may not love but I have to do to keep the household clean and save and healthy. Some of our favorite gift cards that we’ve gotten include:

  • Starbucks

  • Cold Stone

  • Red Robin

  • Dunkin

As you can see, I get to use time, that I otherwise would have spent just scrolling mindlessly on my phone and after a bit I get stay on budget and still spoil myself and my kids!

  • Gives me special moments with my kids…FOR FREE!!

I’m all about creating memories and having moments with my kids. And that includes hot cocoa runs after swim practice. It includes donut trips, just me and my daughter, while my son is at soccer. It includes dinners out (to their favorite restaurants if not mine :D !). It includes grabbing an ice cream after going for a hike. And having some backup gift cards lying there just waiting for the right moment means I get to have those memories more often. And as my kids grow older and are less interested in spending time with their lame-o mom, I cherish those moments even more. So being able to continue to have them even while staying on budget, is truly priceless for me!

So many options that will definitely help you out no matter how you like to spend your extra cash!
